N.E.C CBO

This is the women's group which is in partnership with Musa House.

North East and Central (N.E.C) Rongo Community Based Organization (CBO) is a Women's Group in Kanyadgiro village which was formed in 2006 and currently has 60 members.

Driven by the deaths that were happening in the area, the women came together and formed a group that will enable them use the skills they have in order to support themselves and their children.

The group currently supports 106 Orphans by offering a small feeding program, giving basic supplies like soap, clothes. The group also at times assists with School Fees and Hospital Costs.

There is a high mortality rate for Men and many of the women are ailing in the area.

LIVELIHOOD

The group members are involved in farming of Sweet Potatoes and Vegetables.

The group had also started off Chicken Farming, but that project did not get far because they lacked adequate material. Right now they would like assistance to build a Chicken House amongst 5-10 members
